Terms and conditions

These terms & conditions apply to all purchases made through our website for organic beef sold directly from our farm.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. Overview

We sell our pasture-raised beef direct from our farms in South Australia. Customers may purchase a quarter, half or whole animal on a pre-order basis. All beef is processed at a certified abattoir and butchered to our standard cut list.

2. Deposits & payment

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your order. This deposit amount is listed on each product page and varies depending on the size of the order (quarter, half, or whole animal).
Deposits can be made via direct deposit — please use your full name and your order number as the payment reference.
Once the animal is processed, we will advise you of the final hanging weight, which is calculated per kilogram of dressed (hanging) weight.
Full payment is required before delivery or collection.

3. Purchase by hanging weight

All beef is sold based on the hanging (or dressed) weight, which is the weight of the carcass after slaughter, including bones but excluding internal organs, hide, etc.
Hanging weights are approximately –
- Quarter cow 60-75kg
- Half cow 100–135kg.
- Whole 200-270kg.
The final quantity of take-home meat will be less than the hanging weight once the animal has been aged, butchered and boned out.
By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept that pricing is based on this method.

4. Cut sheet selection

Once your order is confirmed, you will receive a cut sheet outlining the available cut options for your order size.
We are happy to guide you through the cut sheet to ensure you receive the cuts that best suit your household.
If no preferences are submitted by the required date, we will proceed with a standard butcher’s cut to ensure timely processing.

5. Refunds, cancellations & order changes

Due to the perishable nature of our product, all sales are final once the deposit has been paid.
Deposits are non-refundable unless we are unable to fulfil your order (e.g. due to unforeseen circumstances on our end).
Orders cancelled by the customer after the deposit is paid will forfeit the deposit.
Changes to cut selections may not be possible once the animal has been sent for processing.

6. Delivery & collection

We will contact you to arrange delivery or farm gate collection once your beef has been processed.
Delivery is available to select areas via refrigerated transport. A delivery fee may apply and will be discussed at the time of order confirmation.
Delivery is scheduled in advance, and you (or someone you authorise) must be present to accept the delivery. You will be asked to sign upon delivery.
If no one is home and delivery cannot be completed, additional delivery charges may apply.
Meat will be delivered fresh, unless unforeseen circumstances require it to be delivered frozen.

7. Packaging & storage

Your beef will be packed in butcher’s bags and labelled by cut showing the weight of each cut.
It will be delivered fresh and should be refrigerated immediately upon receipt.
To ensure optimal freshness and safety, please freeze the meat within 24 hours of delivery.

8. Quality guarantee

We take great pride in the quality of our beef and aim to provide the best product and customer experience possible.

If you believe there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your delivery. While we do not offer refunds for change of mind, we are committed to working with you to resolve any genuine concerns.
